_I judged my first all breed open show in 2001. Judging was never a foremost thought when I started to show but as I started to become more involved with showing it became a natural step and has enabled me to broaden my horizons and hopefully help me to assist in helping to protect and enhance the breeds I am passionate about. My ambition was always to promote the breeds I love and I felt that could only be achieved by judging at group level and that remains my goal. I have attended seminars and educated myself in the utility breeds and have been active in showing bulldogs, spitz and now shar peis. I have judged numerous classes throughout the country and am proud of gaining 53 entries for four classes at the Boston all breed open show in 2004. !
A recent club show provided a very nice surprise witha dog called Leightbull Red Admiral winning Best Veteran in show, I having myself awarded him BOB at bootle in 2002 ! I am also proud of the fact that a few of my BOB awards have gone on to win higher awards including Sealavilles Duke and Rebel both became worthy CHs, Terlingfair Remy cc winner and I suppose the ultimate indication that I am not too bad a judge ...Tim Balls Shar Pei CH/AM CH Asias Red Marsh whip it up good was my BOB at Bath CH show 2010 and then took BIS and has gone on to be the breed cc record holder.......I must be doing something right then !!
I judged my first Bulldog breed club show in 2005, The Sheffield Bulldog Club at the time run by Sharon Evison who I am forever grateful to for giving me my first big appointment and to this day still remember it with my BOB going to Booths Hobtob White Knight.
Since then I have judged four more Bulldog Club shows , Rochdale & District, The Welsh Bulldog Club, the The Birmingham & Midland Counties Bulldog Club, YorkshireBulldog Club as well as numerous classes. I have also been lucky enough to judge another favourite breed of mine, German spitz, at a championship show and recently Sha Peis at Boston ch show and also at the Midlands Sha Pei club show which was a personal highlight of mine.
I have recently had my first judging appointment abroad having judged Bulldogs at the Bulldog Club Of Cyprus where I awarded CACs for the first time thanks to a good friend and bulldogger with a passion second to none Mr Savvas Hadjisavvas.
This year brings new challenges for me with my first cc show BUBA , a massive all breed limit show and first utility group, something that I am very honoured to have been asked to do , it's taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get this far and I would like to thank all the exhibitors over the years who have supported me.
